I Like It A Latte

It is only my second blog and I am already running low on coffee puns. My first paper was due this past week so of course I was in need of caffeine to keep me awake and alert. Anyway, I am here to talk to you about the two, new concoctions I tasted this past week at Java City:

1. The Latte A Latte is simply a shot of espresso with hot and frothy milk added in. Simple. I liked it except the espresso: milk ratio was 1:4 or so. So I felt it had a very creamy, milky texture-taste (Side note: texture-taste is a word I have made up to describe how the texture of something psychologically alters the taste of something) while a strong note of espresso was there. For you sugar lovers, I would advise adding in some raw sugar that Java City has to offer.

 2. Strawberry Smoothie Classic Strawberry. It was delicious especially since it was hot and humid outside. I recommend this drink to all. There are other flavors such as pineapple, strawberry-banana, four-berry, and more! In fact, I will attach a photo that lists all the flavors. Enjoy!

Next time I hope to try one of the new Fall Flavors that Java City has to offer. If you have tried them already leave a comment and tell us your opinion!

A Coffee Connoisseur?

I love coffee.
But loving something does not necessarily make you an expert.

So my history with coffee: as a young child of four or so my parents always woke me with a coffee concoction in hand. From there the milk percentage lessened and new opportunities presented themselves in the form of Starbuck’s.

My history with Java City: I found a perfect spot to study in the library. Before settling down to write that HUMA1600 paper or studying for an exam I would pick up a personal favorite: white mocha.
Needless to say (then why am I saying it?) I spent much of my dine money there with the average drink costing approximately three dollars.
The goal of this blog is to inform those of you who may be hesitant to stop by Java City or those of you who stick with the same coffee/drink choice.

Today, the rain was pouring and the wind howling the perfect conditions for sleeping NOT studying. I needed caffeine. But I told myself for the sake of this blog I would try something new: Caramel Macchiato Hot. I’m glad I did because after drinking that coffee I had to run through the torrential rain to get to my class.

Later today, I was in the mood for something fruity. Thank goodness Java City has over fifty drinks, espresso and non-coffee flavors for everyone. Last year I was introduced to Italian Sodas at Java City. They have several different flavors: Strawberry, Cherry, Lemon, Kiwi, Raspberry, and Mango. My advice: MIX THEM!!! Today, I went with Raspberry-Lemon. Delightful.

Stay tuned for some more Java City tips!

Samantha
